This week, my class and I have been learning about the Mexican day of the dead. The day of the dead is celebrated in Mexico to honor those who have died. Instead of feeling sad, it is one of the happiest times of the year. The Mexicans will dress in a full skeleton outfit and go to the cemetery for a picnic. We all had to decorate skulls as an art response. On our skulls we had to decorate in detail. My skull had lots of flowers and swirls on it in lots of different colors, and I finished it off with a cross on its forehead, and a touch of glitter!
